Five wether goats, two dogs, and two flocks of chickens call The Wanderers' Nest home. They can't wait to meet you!
The all-male herd was adopted from Puget Sound Goat Rescue in the summer of 2019. Finley, Miles, and Sailor are Saanens, and Bronson and Silas are Toggenburgs. These boys are some of the sweetness goats you'll ever meet! While each has his own personality, all are very calm and love to interact with visitors.
Sydney was adopted from the Kitsap Humane Society, and we believe she is a Border Collie-Lab mix. She's an older girl at 10 years old, but she still loves to play fetch and get belly rubs. She is very in-tune with human emotions, which makes her ideal for animal-assisted interactions.
Rabbit was adopted from Louisiana and is named after an LSU football player, and she is an American Staffordshire-Boxer Mix. She's 5 years old, but still has the energy of a puppy. She loves to play and run laps around the yard.
Sydney and Rabbit are certified Canine Good Citizens through the American Kennel Club.
We have two flocks of chickens on the farm. One flock lives near the garden, sifting through the dirt for worms and other bugs. You'll often hear our rooster, Zorro, crowing in the distance. The other flock has their own coop in the goat yard, and they are fun to observe. They can be quite silly and curious when humans visit!
